MUSIC KEYS
The black and white keys has been my key to enter the colorful world of music. =)
I didn’t have any ideas that playing piano will soon be a hobby of mine. It started when my father brought me an electronic keyboard, it goes with a blue song book with easy songs in it…the first song I started to play was “Can’t help falling in love with you an OST from Lilo and Stitch, a Walt Disney film…but I ended up playing the original version of the song which was recorded by Elvis Presley. It was funny to play the old version. *giggles*
Days passed and I found my fingers dancing with the black and white vertical keys of the piano. The feeling was so nice when You already learned and memorized a song…The first piano song I loved the most was entitled “Moonriver” a song composed by Johnny Mercer(Lyrics) and Henry Mancini(Music) in 1961. I really had no idea why I know that song…Anyway, the melody was nice and the ambiance it creates is wonderful.
Years passed, I stumbled upon a lot of music sheets. I learned how to read the staffs and the music symbols. (I didn’t pay much attention to them in my music class back in elementary.) In short…I learned to REALLY play the piano all by myself and I’m proud of that, though I still plan to enroll myself in any piano class…I’ve been targeting the Yamaha piano lessons. =) My favorites are Canon in D by Johannes Pachelbel, To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X, Moonriver by Mercer and Mancini and River Flows in You by Yiruma. Yes, those are all classical.
Now, here I am…considering myself as a pianist. Someone who could move and touch others through music.
